Welcome to The Purple Bee, my personal lifestyle blog, sharing my experience living naturally in Sherwood Oregon, amongst our lavender farm, bee hives, rescue horses, chickens, and organic vegetable gardens! I'm into pretty much everything. I am an expat Kiwi, a Mom, a holistic nutrition junkie, obsessive researcher, kale smoothie pusher, and beekeeper. I love cooking, rearranging furniture, decorating, and making jam from wildcrafted berries. I'm also a bit of a social media queen! I am a former lawyer, but I escaped the practice of law to work in higher education at the American College of Healthcare Sciences, where I get to combine my passions for education, law, wellness, and help people find their path. I am also a Master Gardener and a Primal Blueprint Certified Expert. We do online school at home, and between working full time as well as running our farm, and managing vacation rentals, so it's a crazy busy life but it's a lot of fun! I'm a bit like a bee, flitting from one project to another, and this website and blog is a place to gather some of my resources in one place! I hope that some of my obsessive research and diverse interests will help you bring a bit of purple (lavender) and green (living) into your busy hectic life!
